Victoria Castle Sunset

On a visit to a friend in Orange County, I suggested we shoot this historic location near Newport Beach. Parking was challenging, but soon we parked off the highway and hiked down to the sand and around a rocky outcrop to this view of Victoria Beach, marked by a castle turret that housed a spiral staircase. Amongst all the wedding photographers shooting engagement shots and sometimes getting their couples soaked by crashing waves, I caught the last glimpses of the sun dipping below the Pacific Ocean.
