Dogwood Blossoms on Hyatt Lane

Cades Cove, found in the heart of the Great Smokies, showcases mountain life in the early 1900's. A couple roads cut across the loop. I found this scene during the mid morning drive. But the light was not ideal; I made a note to return later in the afternoon. By my return the sun was low to the west and bringing out the color of the dogwoods nestled against the spring trees. I photographed close and wide; of those shots this was my favorite composition. I softened the tree branches in the image to accentuate the color.
