Little Blue Geron with Catfish

This little blue heron with the large catfish was photographed in the morning on the Anhinga Trail in the Everglades of Florida. It was taken, on a tripod, with a Canon 20D and a Canon 500mm f4 IS lens. AV mode 1/2000 sec f4.5 -1 exposure compensation. This little bird was fishing and fishing and it was so stunned when it captured this large catfish that it just sat on this snag for a bit trying to either rejoice in its skill or contemplate how to swallow it.
