Spy Hop

Orca in resident J-Pod in San Juan Islands. The pod had followed our excursion vessel for over an hour, voluntarily swimming alongside and seeming to make eye contact with many of us. As they finally swam off across Haro Straight toward Canada, this one spy-hopped. I'd like to think she was bidding us farewell. An unforgettable experience it was!
