Welcome and thank you for viewing my portfolio. I appreciate your interest in me and my art.
The motto for my photography is, "Vision Beyond My Eye." That's because my eyesight is significantly impaired by monocular vision and high myopia. It may seem ironic to be so involved and passionate about such a visual art form, but in 1981, when I acquired my first 35mm camera and discovered telephoto and macro lenses, I was hooked. I could see things I never knew were out there! Surprise, wonder, pure delight: if I'm not grinning behind the viewfinder I'm either dead tired or dead.
I interned with Art Wolfe in 2001 in a career transition after 20 years in Professional Social Work in Health Care. With gratitude to Art and his staff and other mentors present and past, I continue the hunt for photographic treasure as I see it.
Award winning images in international and local exhibitions are included in my photo library. My work has been featured in solo shows at galleries in Seattle and is in numerous private collections. Clients include WA State Dept. of Rehabilitation Services for the Blind, Art Wolfe, University of Washington, and Glazers Camera.
Enjoy your visit and return often, as I post new images regularly.
