View of the Grand Canyon (posted 12/07)

Taken at the south rim visitor's center in May 2007. A snow shower had just passed through. Fog and clouds were just lifting and parting with some sunshine coming through. The Colorado River can be seen in the canyon floor.

Nikon D200, Nikkor 24-120 G VR on tripod with circular polarizer; focal length 65mm; f16, 1/60ss, ISO 200. Digital darkroom processing to bring out detail in the landscape and to register accurate color. A couple of small tree snags in the right lower corner were removed.
