Out enjoying an unusually white 2008 holiday season in my Seattle neighborhood, this garden bush caught my attention for the way the light shined upon it. The Cotoneaster is such a ubiquitous garden feature around here that to my eye it usually just "blends in" in a pleasant sort of way. This day, on this walk, I NOTICED it and was happy to have my camera with me.
