Along the Hoh River road to the Hoh Rain Forest in the Olympic National Park there is a diverse amount of vegetation from Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, various ferns, mosses, lichen and Oregon oxalis that covers the forest floor. Image taken in a stand of mostly Sitka spruce with fungi and moss attached to one. Rainfall is measured in feet not inches along the slopes of the Olympic Mountains. 12-14 feet a year fall upon this temperate rain forest.
