This black tail deer keeps a wary eye on the photographer. Fortunately, many mammals found in Olympic National Park have been unmolested by hunters and are easier to approach than in other parts of the Olympic Peninsula. This young buck in velvet was found grazing near Storm King, along the Lake Crescent shoreline, near Port Angeles, Washington.
