Patagonian Puma walking

After a long and fruitless day,the 3rd of my uninterupted 365 day stint in Patagonia looking for pumas I was just about to turn and head for my camp as the light was fading rapidly when I spotted a pair of ears in a clump of low vegetation close to the shores of the lake I was walking along. After taking a couple of shots of the cat,who was obviously hoping at that moment that I had not noticed it,she slowly rose and slinked off without giving me a 2nd glance,If only all encounters were that easy! The shot was taken with 100asa provia pushed upto 400asa. Nikon 300mm f2.8 with a 2x converter
