The Painted Hills, which is located in the John Day Fossil Beds, are located approximately 38 miles north of Prineville, Oregon off Highway 26. This photo was captured at ISO 200, f/9 @1/125 of a second using a Nikkor 17-35 f/2.8 lens @ 17mm. A 2 stop Singh-Ray Hard ND filter was used to balance the sky.
