After several years of RawShooter Premium experience we are finally facing the end of that era. My wife just upgraded to the D300 and RSP will never be upgraded again so it's Lightroom from now on.

We received LR1.0 from Adobe for free as previous RSP owners, but never actually used it, and just tonight upgraded to LR2.0 for our future processing needs. I am certain we will love it but we will miss our old standby.

What are the most useful books available for learning Lightroom 2.0 with the least amount of pain?

Thanks

Hey Mike, I would recommend you

The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Book: The Complete Guide for Photographers by Martin Evening - 624 pages thick and covers every aspect of LR (http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Photoshop-Lightroom-Book-Photographers/dp/0321555619/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1219726201&sr=8-1)

If you don't want to read all those pages I can higly recommend the Luminous Landscape Guide to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 video tutorial by Michael Reichmann and Jeff Schewe. Besides the tonnes of information about the programm and techniques it's also fun to watch! You may find it here http://store.luminous-landscape.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=203

And always remember LR rule 5: ENJOY!

I'll second the nod for Evening's book. I've got his LR 1 book and it's very good.

Mike,

Try this link, it is videos on all Adobe products including Lightroom 2.0.
It might be too simple for you but it points out whats new and how to use it.
I did a few of them and I picked up alot, but I never used Lightroom.

Hope this helped a little.
