Has anyone seen an adapter to use Canon EOS lenses on a Leica R body?

Check out Fotodiox. They have a very extensive list of lens adapters. If they don't have one, it may not exist.

I'm fairly certain that you cannot go that route. The EOS lens has aperture controlled solely by electrical contacts. In addition, I believe you can use Leica R glass on Canon, which means the flange to focal length distance must be greater for Leica R than Canon EOS. You cannot achieve infinity focus with an adapter unless the flange to focal length of the body is shorter than the lens.

Or unless the adapter has a glass element in it. Which then also has a slight TC effect.

Except that you'll only be able to shoot the lens wide open because EOS lenses do not have a manual aperture ring. They require a signal from the camera.

You can put a Leica on a Canon, but not the other way, you won't have aperture control and would lose infinity focus. The distance from the lens flange to sensor is 44mm in an EF mount and is 47mm in a Leica R, which means there is 3mm of thickness available for an adapter. You might be able to find an adapter but it would only be good for closer distances.
