I'm looking at trying some different "canvas" or rag type papers on my canon pro 9000 at home, and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on what brands they liked?
I'm looking to try and get something I can stretch over a frame and staple like some of the print shops do for canvas prints.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
thanks
Kevin

Hahnemuhle. They have several options. Some all cotton, some poly-cotton blends. Really nice stuff. My preference is for the full cotton stock.

I like Moab Anasazi premium matte canvas. I'm not a big fan of the glossy canvas so I chose the matte.
So, do any of these companies have custom ICC's for their canvas for the many models of printers out there?
Like the Epson Photo R800?

Yep, the better ones will.
Hahnemuhle certainly has profiles available for its papers with some printers. Not the R800 though because the canvas stocks are only available in rolls and A3 size sheets.
The Moab paper is available in smaller sizes and they have profiles available for the R800.
The Epson is only available in rolls and larger sheets.
PremierArt claims that the profiles for other Epson papers will work and have the settings on their website. I've never had overly good results using a non-paper specific profile.

Profiles for canvas media can be tricky. The uneven surface, reflecting light in different ways, tends to confuse the sensor in the average spectrophotometers that are used to make the readings. We have had great results using a polarizing filter to make canvas measurements. It seems to cut down on the glare and allows a more direct reading of the colors in the patches, also draws out more shadow detail in the profile. If you find you need a custom profile for canvas, look for someone with a SpectroScan table or other device that allows polarized filtering.

I wrote a article about printing and stretching canvas prints about a year ago. If you'd like to read it, have a look here: http://www.tnphoto.ca/articles/Gallery%20Wraps.pdf
I've been using Epson Premium Canvas Satin and like it very much. I have also used PremierArt canvas in the past with good results.
Don't forget to coat your canvas after you print it!
(No, I don't work for InkJetArt. I just think they are a good retailer.)
