Any books by Scott Kelby are winners. I just picked up one of his called "The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom2 Book For Digital Photographers." He also has several CS3 books out. Books by Martin Evening are also very good. Hope that helps

I'd suggest Martin Evening's books for both.

Along with what's mentioned above, have a look at Katrin Eismann's latest, "The Creative Digital Darkroom".

Thanks for the replies,I didn't know there was that much out there.I guess I should have asked for a book(s) aimed more at a computer challenged person.I feel that I have a pretty good knowledge of photography but I am WAY behind on the digital processing part.

The books I recommended need no computer knowledge aside from using a mouse and a keyboard.

Take at look at these sites they are way ahead of the hardbook lag in current photoshop and lightroom. I always find these a great learning tool.

Also there is a lot of good lightroom and photoshop vids on itunes you need to look for lightroom or photoshop podcasts. these are current and helpful. All are free so it won't cost anything to check them out
