I want to thank the academy....
In all seriousness I do want to thank those that participate on the critiques at NPN. All the photos I picked to enter were images that got favorable responses on the NPN forums. Often, I know what I like but the bigger question for contest entries is "do the pictures have a 'universal' appeal"?. Those images that did well here on NPN forums were entered into the competition. So thanks for the help in narrowing things down!!
Judging art is subjective, I was just lucky enough that the images I sent appealed to that particular set of judges.
I encourage everyone here at NPN to enter next year - the stuff I see here daily is a good as the winnering images posted. Hope to see another NPN winner take it next time!
