We got stuff when we went south over Christmas. Herself has recently purchased two cabinets for said stuff. The cabinets no longer leave room for my printer table.
For the purposes of domestic harmony I'm going to need to find another location for the printer. Rather than run cables all over the house a wireless print server with a parallel port connection seems to be the answer.
Has anybody a recommendation as to going this route and\or particular brand of hardware?

I tried a Linksys and it worked okay for regular printing, but my RIP did not recognize it.
I am sure from your post that you're not on Mac, Dave. Following the example of friends, our next move is to pick up a Mac airport for little money. Friends use theirs not only to print from any location in their house, but also for their wireless coms with their laptops. They're very happy, and didn't have to spend an arm or a leg.

What printer? Does it have an ethernet port? Do you plan to hardwire your computer to a router? Do you have an existing wireless network in the house?

Robert,
Existing wireless network with my computer hardwired to it. It is a Canon 9000 with USB and parallel ports.

A device with a USB port will likely be easier to find than one with a parallel port. There'll be more choice too which means you might be able to get a better price. If you've got an electrical outlet available then the Air Port should work well. Or a USB over powerline solution could also work. If you wanted to get a USB/Ethernet adapter, an ethernet over powerline solution would also work. The latter two giving the advantage of a hardwired connection for better speed and without the vagaries of wireless.
