Lobelia Dream

Hi all.

I took this shot the other day. It has been a bit tough for me to shoot lately, somehow I strained my back a bit. I think my wife thinks that I am a bit crazy to keep shooting - but that is what I do. It is a bit tough to use the back as an excuse to get out of anything though...where I keep shooting.

For this shot, I had my son stand behind the container that I was shooting the lobelia from - he was wearing the red shirt. I liked the warm color wash that it added to the shot.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Nathan

A very apt title, Nathan. The image certainly has a dreamlike quality to it. Beautiful muted colours. Excellent. Take care of your back, it's the only one you've got! Keep on shooting, though.

Oh, my... what a wonderful image. The background sets it above and beyond the norm.

How about going to that nursery with camera in hand, so that you can shoot the flowers in the baskets. Would save the back until you recover. Get healthy soon!

This is very beautiful, Nathan...delicate, soft, elegant, dreamy. Great idea for the bg...kids are good for something now and then  I have terrible back pain...lower neck and lower back. I'm getting ready for another MRI and visit to the specialist...again. Do lots of stretching and move a bit more gently. Take care....

Nathan, this is so beautiful and ethereal! :toast: Sorry about your back. :frown: I always hurt my back somehow when using my tripod. Must be the way I hunker down to get those close ups!

Very pretty image. I like the double blooms spilling into the frame. The warm color wash is very appealing as well.
