Nikon D200
Nikon 28-70 @ 34mm
ISO 200 @ f8
10 shot multiple exposure

Sorry I have not been around much lately to comment or post, but I can see from the quality of the images that bar is still high. This is from a trip to Acadia,ME and the White mountains in NH that Mike and I just returned from. This is one of those fun shots; no cable release or tripod to be tethered to. I have been wanting to try some multiple exposures and I thought this was the perfect opportunity. This is a bit out of the box for me so please be honest.

Ed, Welcome back. Hope you had a very productive trip.

This is a fantastic shot, Ed. You should be proud. Were these 10 shots combined in PS or within Camera ?

Very cool Ed, an impression of lupine that works well. It would look good hanging on a wall.

Thanks for the comments everyone; much appreciated.
Ram - they were combined in camera. I was surprised at how easy it was.

Nice wash of color on your abstract Ed, and the spacing on your multiple is perfect.

Wow, Ed this is beautifully done. An excellent "out of the box" image. I can see where this would be perfect for photo art as well. Outstanding work, IMHO.

The wonderful lines and colors work for me Ed. I like the 'dots' of color too.

Very cool, Ed. Excellent use of multiple exposures. I've started experimenting with mulitple exp so please expound a bit on this process. Did you use different exposures? Did you move your camera a bit each time for a different pof?

Actually, I think you and Nathan should give us all a little tutorial on multiples  Thanks for sharing...

Ed,

You don't need to worry about the bar height. I really can't find enough superlatives to describe how much I like this. I'd say a grand experiment.

Hi Beth, The D200 actually makes it relatively easy to do multiple exposures in camera. First off I always shoot in manual mode. I go into the menu and select multiple exposure, then select how many exposures I want ranging from two to ten. After that I select done and I am ready. The camera automatically takes care of the exposures. For this particular image I moved the camera downward and tried to space the ten exposures evenly over the frame. This was handheld as there is no need to have things razor sharp. I hope that helps. :wavey:

I told you this would look pretty cool after seeing it on your screen. I think a shot like this still needs a great composition to start with even though it's an abstract. I think you nailed it perfectly, Ed. :toast: :toast:
