I have been traveling up to the Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders for over three weeks, since the snow came to Scotland in December I eventually found some of these little beasties, I managed to get some pictures

It was late afternoon and the light fading but managed a few of shots.

This is the second in a series of pictures

Canon 50D, Canon 500mm f4 lens + 1.4 converter, f5.6, 1/200sec, ISO 640

C&C please

Ron

I like the simplicity of the composition, with the curved branch, the round mound of snow and almost-white hare against white.

Ron,
Simple and lovely white-on-white compostion, perfectly exposed.
I enjoy seeing the Scottish wildlife and scenery you portray.

Lovely portrait image Ron! I really like the white on white giving the image an almost ethereal feel. Also the pose of the Hare is just perfect. Very well seen and done! :toast:

The white on white scheme makes this most interesting Ron. In fact, although one can argue that the little pine tree balances the composition, I think ultimate simplicity (without the tree) would create an even stronger image. I noticed that the larger version does not look very sharp and also bit noisy.

I love the way the rabbit almost vanishes into the background. Good camoflauge. Nice look to the eye that catches ones attention. Well done.

Very good image, pose, composition!... The little pine does not disturb but IMO it does not add much... I see a bit of a cyan cast on my monitor.

Ron, I love the pose and the look of the hare. I too love the white on white and, for me, the branch detracts from that feel. I would crop it out. Also the shadow in the snow has a very distinct cyan on my uncalibrated laptop screen (could be me)...

Cheers :toast:
