Dumping waste-pollutents bringing in problem cargo -these guys have a tough job.
I did not have time to set much up here but I liked the thought provoking side of the image.

I love this shot, Dan! It's strength lies in the hazy background, with the ship seeming to emerge from it. That impression is strengthened by the ship's visible bow wake, clearly adding a sense of motion.

On the one hand it would have been nice to increase your elevation slightly for a little break between the patrol boat and the foreground, though I understand the exigencies of shooting quickly in an evolving situation.

On the other hand, there's strength in having the busy foreground rather than blank sea below the patrol boat, "anchoring" it to shore and somehow making it a little more intimate. I'm struggling for words to go with the impression that the patrol boat is as much about protecting the shore as confronting the ship.

Nice job on catching the patrol enough broadside to show the M60 and US Coast Guard, yet angled enough to make it clear that the ship is its focus.
