This is a sunrise, first light, near the Lanin Volcano. In march 2009 a summer fire destroyed a big native forest and this is how the place looks like actually.

Lanin National Park, Patagonia, Argentina.

1Ds III / 17-40L / Singh-ray 3 stops reverse nd grad / tripod, single shot.

C&C are truly appreciated

I like this shot. Kind of eerie. The warm tones of the early morning light make me think of the fire. Even the shapes of the twisted branches look something like flames. Very nice!

Nice work Ricardo, I like the way everything reaches for the sky in this unique landscape.

Very cool shot. The moon adds a lot to it. Only nit would be the uneven lighting in the foreground and that the big twisted branch on the left leads my eye out of the frame.

what a desolated scene, ricardo. I like these. the light here is subtle and doesn´t get any warmer, the presence of the moon adds a lot to the comp, imo. very nice.

I really like the forbidding foreground here. The moon is also a nice element in the scene. Cool shot!

Hi Ricardo...

This is a fantastic foreground subject, very wild looking...and great light. The moon is the icing on the cake!
