Yeah, I know, not all that original, but me and my aspen affair are blind to the world.

Excellent Jimmy! As you say, not the most original, most certainly very enjoyable to gaze upon. Thanks for sharing.

I love high key and this is teriffic. The nearest we have to these is the silver birch and whilst it's pretty these aspens are a different league. A wonderful dense stand skilfully rendered.

Great title! The subtle tonal changes and various little knots give this well framed image the right amount of separation and interest. Nicely seen and captured!

Lovely high key image, Love the fact that they are so crowded you can't see any background.

Neat, Jimmy. You had an affair in Aspen? Really, you don't need to share that type of stuff here, I don't think. Just keep the images coming, OK?

Very nice job isolating them. I feel like I want to view this in color even though there won't be much color in the composition. I get the feeling that a subtle hint of reflected color in the highlights and shadows might give the image even more depth. I could be totally wrong though, not knowing what the original color version looks like.

Jimmy,

This is one fantastic aspen image and interpretation. The high-key presentation makes this stand out quite on it's own and you've honed in on one fabulous set of trunks. What more is there to say other than to be careful with all your affairs...

I think it's perfectly acceptable to do something that is "common". Especially when you do it this good!!!!! I knew this was great from the thumbnail.

I like this. I think it could stand to have a little bit of contrast added. This would look great with a dark mat.

I would love to see some dogding of the darks to help seperate the trunks a little...but I love your comp here and think this image is great!

I really like the 3-dimentional properties here. Almost like that closest tree is the bow of a large boat coming at you through the water. I also really like the 'nothing but trees' aspect of this image.

Nice work!

Awesoem Jimmy! I don't think people realize just how difficult it is to find a perfect line up of aspen boles like this without any distracting features or gaps between the trees. You've perfected this image.

It's never boring to see this kind of shot done this right! Are you married? Does your wife know about you and the, uh, trees?
