Nikon D300, Nikon 300mm AF-S f4, 1/2000, f4, iso 200, -0.7EV

Two young ibexes starting fighting. Its impressive to see these animals doing acrobatic movements balancing on high rocks.

one of my next trip will possibly bring me to shot some pictures to ibex fight for female. it happens in winter, end of December, in Gran Paradiso National Park, but it is a hard work especially for the snow. anyway, i like this composition but, I don't know if it is my monitor setting, it seems a little too bright:maybe a step down could help.

cheers,Luca

Nice action shot. Maybe the white snow in the BG is a bit too high.

Great shot of Ibex! Is the saturation level correct or should it be toned down a little? My only contact with Ibex has been in Texas. Great action and I really like the way you did the fg and bg.

Very cool poses Marco and I like your composition. The placement of the two is pretty much optimal looking at it from a rule of thirds perspective. This creates a harmony that I find pleasing; it is always extra difficult with action scenes to create pleasing compositions. The only thins that is slightly distracting is the white patch in the BG, mainly due to its awkward shape and brightness. On the other hand I also appreciate it being there to give context to the overall scene. Toning that white snow down a bit though may help improve the overall look. :toast:

While the washed out snow is abit distracting, the action in the photo overcomes any minor distractions IMHO. This is a really impressive image, one of the better ones I have seen posted. Thanks for sharing.

I love the pose & setting, but find the background snow, bit distracting.
