Red Fox with Play Toy II

by Peter Conway

Gallery: WildlifePosted June 29, 20101,032 views26 comments
Mark IV, 800mm, ISO 800, f/7.1, !/2600th, Natural Light

Taken on the same day as my earlier post of this Kit playing with the tail. Although not a pretty as the other image I do like the guilty expression as this guy sneaks away with the prize.

Comments always appreciated.

Peter: Really cool image. Love the diagonal from the grass. The look on the fox is priceless. Does look like he/she got caught with his paw in the cookie jar!! Very nice image with all the components to make the action work.

Peter great playful photo (even if its a little morbid - I like to think it's simply a feather duster) with a background only a painter could replicate.

Wonderful pose, nice catch light and the slope is just right against that background. Great shot, Peter.

HI Peter,

This works really well for me. Simple, great expression on the subject, non-distracting background, nice diagonal (or at least tilted) line formed by the ridge the subject is on, nice paw position, and the foreground in focus. Oh yeah, and exposure looks spot-on. What else can I say? Works for me! Well done.

Cheers...

Peter,

I nearly missed this. I like everything about it but particularly the foxes expression and the mood of the image. Congrats on the EP.
