Very nice - the twirl there is lovely. My only suggestion would be to balance the low contrast of the left side with the strong one on the sunlit right side a little.

Hi Derek,
Beautiful place, really wild! I like the composition by including the water swirl in the foreground. The shutter speed show a shy water falls but absolutely pretty. Breathtaking location!!!

derek - very good - the composition works well. the only thing i wish for is more forgiving light and the right side seems a little bright.

Hi Derek,
I love the effect of the fall and the foliage above it. Do you have any closer views of the falls? I like the idea of the swirl, but I think it would have looked better with a longer exposure. I agree with Andreas that the the right side of the image should be burned down some to balance out the scene. I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Here's a version with the right side burned a little. Does that balance it out enough?
Thanks!

Derek,
I honestly can't tell a difference between the versions.

Derek,
This is a very lovely, quiet and peaceful little scene. I actually see a big difference in the two versions and like the repost very much. In fact I was going to suggest that the foreground be darkened a little and perhaps with a little boost in contrast. I would take your repost even a bit further by darkening the entire bottom (and keeping the little extra burn on the right for light balance.) Now this isn't overexposed by any stretch, just seems that it would be more soothing with just a slightly darker presentation. Still, a lovely capture.

Great swirl in the foreground with the waterfall in the back holding the image together. A very clean shot Derek.
