Well after a PC crash I'm back in action with a new 27" imac (how convenient that the new model was released today!). That being said... I've temporary upgraded to CS5 (via 30 day trial) and haven't done any calibration on the monitor.. please please let me know if anything looks slightly off.

Sunday afternoon a serious wall of thunderstorms ripped across Long Island (there was actually an F1 tornado in the bronx!). It was fast and extremely unstable and caused quite a bit of damage... a few hours after I noticed some decent cloud formations and headed to the water in hopes of something good. I'm not sure what kind of clouds these are (Stan, I know you will be thrilled!) but I loved their shapes and how they were lit up by the setting sun.

Congrats on the new iMac Luke.

It's hard to tell whether something is off, as I don't know how the scene looked. All I can say is that overall the shot looks a bit dark on my monitor, as in slightly underexposed. Very nice cloud formation.

An EF-1 in the Bronx...huh that's interesting. Anyhow, pretty cirrus clouds, probably some good turbulence/shear up there with the jet stream nearby. I like the subject, theres some potential here. Id crop a bit of the blue up top, and tweak the contrast and exposure up a little. I know it's not always readily available, but i think a subject like this can really shine if you can find an interesting fg object as a silhouette up front. Nice catch, tho :wavey:

I like the colors and clouds shapes, but would maybe like a little more silhouetted ground or maybe something else to serve as a small focal point in the scene.
