Something I posted before but thought I'd add it back to my gallery. Shot at Ft Desoto in February 2009 while shooting with Mia. We had loads of fun with this one bird for quite some time. This one had a pipefish.

Olympus E-3 ZD300 F2.8 + EC20 Wimberley I, 1/500 f8, 0.0EV, 75% crop from 4/3rds aspect. Larger image provided.

Nice LBH shot! Looks like he has one little snack or something. Would have liked to seen the Heron's eyes, but nature doesn't alway cooperate!

TFS!

I love watching wading birds feeding on pipefish as they don't give up easily. A nice abstract motion shot

Nice, Bill. I think I missed this the first time around. The slight blur in the head and the pipe fish really conveys the action well. :toast:

Nice action Bill. The blurred head, combined with the blurred fish and flying water work just fine for me to convey the speed of this. I don't think a head angle showing the eyes would have made much difference because they were likely closed anyway.

Bill,

This is a wonderful behavior image, love the action, the blur near the head and pipefish. I especially enjoy the memories this brings back too. The flying water droplets are great too.
