Dahlia Jewels

I took this at the Swan Island Dahlia Farm. On my way out there it started to drizzle but since I love flowers with water drops I decided to keep going. I hope you like it. Let me know what you think. Chris

I like the water drops on the flowers as well.
Pretty even distribution of drops which adds to the overall pleasing effect. ....Now to dry off the camera!!

I certainly like it Chris. Rich reds and the droplets really do act like icing. The only think I might consider is filling in the viewer's upper right corner. Don't know if it will look unnatural but maybe with a slight crop from the right. It's certainly no big deal though. Beautiful image as posted.

Chris, Love the composition. Good handling of the Reds and Water Drops as always add a nice touch. I always avoid Red Roses, Dahlias etc, because the water drops resemble Mercury more than water but you have pulled it off pretty well here. Gives me some courage next time I see these Red Flowers.

Chris,...this is a winning composition...great crop of the flower. I like the add'n that droplets add...a fresh and spark-touch. I don't like the white dominating the color of the droplets...a purely personal taste...and might be tempted to try a polarizer to filter it out. Well done!

Excellent details with all the waterdrops. I like the colour very much. The top left corner is a bit OOF. Nicely done Chris.

This works pretty well for me Chris. A bit more sharpness in the center would be nice, but that is minor. I like the distribution of drops like Bob mentioned.

Beautiful reds and lovely overall pattern of rain drops, Chris. I agree with Pat's comment on possibly cropping from the right.

Cheers,

Carol

Chris: Well seen and nicely captured. Filling the frame completely would be my only alternative although I like this as is. Well done.>=))>
