An overcast day on Sydneys Northern beaches provided good conditions for water exposure. This from Warriewood Blowhole.

A very fine seascape, Andrew. The wave action, especially in the foreground, makes this very dynamic.

Although the lighting could be better here, and I am a little distracted by the dark upper left corner, I think this is a GREAT composition with a very interesting and excellent dynamic foreground! Nice find! :toast:

Now, maybe (if you are as crazy as some) go back 20-30 times at sunrise and sunset to maybe get that world class award winner!

I agree, great composition, exposure and processing. Light is not that bad, certainly workable, more that does a reasonable job here.

Thanks for the comments.

Mark, as for the lighting, I have plans to return at the right time of year to get the light on this one as its quite SE facing.

Thanks again.

I really enjoy the water color in the foreground and the rocks have lots of nice texture. The water motion adds a nice touch too!

Andrew,

I too like the motion and color of the water in the bowl here. And the overall comp is nice and I like the inclusion of the rocky shoreline and headlands. The sky is somewhat ominous and provides some nice context for the lighting and colors. Nice seascape.

I like the subdued light and colors. This gives a feeling of anticipation that something more is about to happen. Nice.
