Thanks for he feedback on the coastal image.

One of my last stragglers from spring that I never got around to working on. This is of course from Carrizo Plain in Central West California. I've taken photos of the flowers on the plain so many times that it was hard to find something different. On the day I was there, the sky was slightly overcast and searching the plain for dense pockets of flowers was easy, but finding something different was hard. Hopefully this one is different enough. I used this image to illustrate my latest blog post if you are interested HERE.

The detail in the image really made it difficult to save it and still meet the size limitation. But check the larger version.

4x5, 75mm, f32.5 1/15 sec ISO 100 Fuji Provia 100F

Your feedback is appreciated.

A lovely image, the solo flower provides a wonderful anchor. An interesting blog also, its always nice to have insight into another artists frame of mind. :)

Strong image Youssef. The low perspective is excellent, and the lone purple flower anchors the image nicely in addition to being a strong focal point.

this would be a nice photograph without the one purple blossom, but that really bumps it up a notch.

Fantastic image Youssef. If flows well, has a great point of interest and contains a simple plain to make front to back focus straightforward with a little tilt. The only thing I see, and it is a minor thing, is a little red in the blacks.

Lovely image. The field of flowers is very nice. I really like the purple flower to break up the pattern. I'm not wild about the flower in the LLC that is cut off.

Beautiful image, Youssef. Not sure if it will make a difference, but I might play a little with burning down the cut-off flower on the bottom edge to de-emphasize it? It is sweet as presented, but the thought occurred to me when I looking at it.

I love the light you pulled out here, Youssef. Skies like this can be trying, I think, but your made it look great. Would be very difficult to improve on this.

Wow Youssef,
Wonderful composition and color. Creative use of the one "different" flower - works so well. Thanks for sharing. Best Regards.

Beautiful Youssef. A sea of flowers. Love the perspective and the lonely violet flower really makes the image unique.

A fantastic capture of this incredible scene. What an expanse of wildflowers! The composition is lovely -- specially the detail in the foreground. The top portion of the frame is working well too and puts things into perspective.

Really well done, Youssef. I hope I can see a print of this picture one day.

Didn't have to look to know this was yours! It just has that signature on it. Really nice field of flowers. The single purple one really adds a nice touch to it. I've wanted to go there for a few years now, but never made the trip. Looks like a great place if the timing is right!
