Hello All,
after two busy weeks, here an image of a Roseate Sponbill taken at South Padre Island Nature Center (TX).
I love the beautiful color of these species and it was nice to observe them quietly in the sunset light.

40D 700mm
f8,0 1/2000
ISO 400
-0,33
Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

We have spoonbills in my area. It seems that they would be very photogenic, but I have found it difficult to get really good pictures of them. I like the out-of-place feathers on the shoulder - a little touch of something our of the ordinary. You god good light on the eye and a nice catchlight. Would have been nice if the light angle had been such that you could have gotten some light on the top of the bill.

Hi Monica
Very nice. I like sharpness , plumage detail, side light and overall two-tones coloring.

Great light & details Monica..The bird's beautiful, love its red eye too.
I live just 350 miles from South Padre as the crow flies, & never get the time to go there..
You live in Italy & post outstanding images from my backyard..What's wrong with this picture
Well done :toast:

Such a strange looking bird and you captured it so well, Monica. The little out-of-place feather and the one-foot-up pose along with that big red eye looking at us make it a very unusual as well as very attractive image. :toast:

Very lovely light Monica. Love the combination of the pinks & blues and how the pinks appear very natural. Love the pose and the one raised foot. Well done.
