Almost missed the light and had to rush to find a composition.

I like the quintessential nature of this alpine scene. I wish there was just a little more sunlight to balance against the expanse of more subdued light on the scene. Maybe intensifying brightness and color in the warm part of the reflection would be enough.

You did a great job of rushing to find this scene Dean. The dew drops on the foreground grass are a nice touch. I also agree with Kent's comments/suggestions. Looks like a beautiful place...where was this taken?

Love the dew drops on the grasses in the foreground. Little things like that add a lot, IMO. The upper half feels a tad underexposed to me.

Very nice dean - pretty light and i really like the water droplets on the FG grass. I might darken the water a little bit, but that's very minor.

The fog lifting up from the of the mountain and the dew on the grass are making the image for me. Superbly composed, Dean!

Thanks for the comments.Kent- I watched the light on this mountain as I was driving to the location but I couldn't find a decent FG. It's just starting to snow so I'll head back and try again.Michael- this is the Cheam Mountain range, part of the Canadian Cascades about 10 miles north of washington st.I can see this mtn from my back yard but it's still over an hour to get to the trailhead.

I like the way the peak scrapes the moving clouds.

This is nice. I really like the depth of the frame and balance of light and color.

That is a sweet moment and I'm glad you were able to capture it so beautifully. Wonderful light and color and that dead calm pond is fantastic.

Thanks for the info Dean. It looks like a pretty cool place. Also, Ron picked up on something that I didn't notice the first time I viewed. That's the reflection is lighter than the sky. You should be able to at least partially correct that with some further editing. Have an awesome weekend.

Well composed. The color balance is pleasing. The foreground grass and dew are perfect.

I've had a chance to have another go at this.Darkened the reflection but intensified the "glow" in the water, as well as giving the peak a bit more saturation. Better?
Thanks
Dean
