River Dee

This is the River Dee near Pontcysyllte in North Wales. It was the hint of autumn colour that attracted me to take this photo.

All feedback, good or bad is welcome and thanks for looking.

Gary.

Lovely hint of fall color and the pattern in the water makes a nice composition element.

I also like the pattern of leaves floating on the water. Nice reflection, colours and contrast with the dark water.

Great shot of a lazy river. The top seems to be cropped a little short for my taste. Without seeing the full scene its hard to suggest but I would have shot up and to the left showing a little more of the beautiful tree hanging over the river because this is your main subject. :wavey:

Love the reflected colors and beginnings of autumn. Makes me wish I was in my canoe floating downstream enjoying the peace and quiet!

Very nice Gary. Could have been a scene from Constable.

Beautiful, idyllic scene. One can almost imagine being in a canoe gently drifting along, enjoying the quiet. Very nice.

Excellent photo, Gary. You really nailed the light. The scene itself is a bit unassuming, but your framing and processing really brought it to life.

Great comp and reflection Gary. I found myself staring under the boughs of the tree to see where the river was winding to next. I love it. :toast:
