Canyon Colors

Camping at Romana Mesa in Southern Utah high above Lake Powell. Was hoping for some stormlight or clouds for sunset, but the setting sun did a wonderful job lighting up Navajo Mountain and the canyons around the lake in an almost lavendar light. Didn't change color but boosted the contrast. Nikon D80 Sigma 70-300 lens

That's some intense color, and quite a wonderful scene. :toast:

Really enjoy the contrasts in color, warm and cool tones. Really nice.

Definitely captures the feel of the desert at sunset. I like the way the telephoto compresses things and makes the more abstract.

The dying light really makes this one Donald. I like exploring the dark areas and the soft light is nice as well.

Very good use of telephoto. The glow is just beautiful.
