PLEASE VIEW LARGER; THANKS

Taken yesterday evening in Valle Stretta, a small narrow valley of the western Alps right at the French border. It's officially fall in the Alps too

Techs: Eos 50D, Tamron SP 28-75 f2,8, tripod. Double exposure blending, stitched from six verticals.

Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

Cool scene, Paolo, but honestly i dont think this is up to your standards. I like the distant peaks more than the fg trees, so im not sure the 50/50 split here is optimal--but the problem with thirds here is then you would cut off the trees in the middle--it's just a problematic comp for me. Plus, the fg contrast seems a bit flat. As i said, it's a real pretty shot, just not portfolio worthy for you. :wavey:

Im really liking the comp here Paulo. I don't know quite what it is but the shot is making me want to hike to that peak in the distance. An adventure type image with journeys awaiting.

Well done. Maybe a slight desat on the blues but thats all i can see.

Hi Paolo!
This is a very nice excution of a classical view. Must be really good in a very large print, the detail must be amazing!

Paolo,

Technically awesome and visually very appealing. I especially like how the trees on the left conveniently fill the frame of the valley wall on the left - just perfectly. Beautifully captured, but not as creative as I'm used to seeing from you - but that of course is okay. A fine image Paolo.

Stitching and exposure blending. How do you find the time? Sure makes for one very nice image.

Nice image considering the lighting conditions.
I have to echo the others' comments: you have set a very high standard for yourself.

Gives a very true feeling of being in the mountains. I really love the light on the distant peaks.

I have to agree this is loaded with detail, but reminds me of a quick grab shot from your car...a really REALLY good grab shot! Can't fault the stitch job one bit, really nicely done. The flattish part above the FG trees looks like a highway which further makes it look like a tourist shot.
