I just returned form the Bosque last night, so I haven't had time to go through many of the images. My primary objective was to be able to get some decent images of birds in flight which has been difficult for me. Fortunately the feeding conditions for the birds are much better than they were last year. Weather for the four days was very sunny, VERY windy, for the most part a bit warmer than expected, but I think I got some good results. Will post a few more as I have time.

Olympus E-3 ZD300 F2.8 +EC20 Wimberley I, ISO 400 1/1600 f6.3 0.0EV, poorly framed so I added canvas left and took away an equal amount right.

Lovely shot, Bill. It would be nice to see more detail beneath the wings: maybe some lightening of the shadow could work. :toast:

Nice sharpness Bill and good detail in the underwings. Not being familiar with the bird doesn't help but I was wondering whether it needed to be lightened a fraction?

cheers

Nice sharp BIF shot Bill. Nice light on the face, neck, and breast. Nothing blocked up underneath, so this works very well for me. Well done.

Your choice of comp now works well with the canvas added and the crane looks very good framed against that lovely blue sky, nice one, Bill.
