Nanven Beach

I recently made three separate visits to this wonderland of sea-carved rock on the Cornish coast and each time came back with at least one strong image. The previous upload came from the first visit and this is from the final one. Sadly not caught on 5x4 due to being side-tracked by other compositions (it's something of a 'target-rich zone') and forgetting to come back to bag this one properly. Still, at least the digicam proved its worth...

The textures, colors and forms are fabulous. It's hard to tell the scale here, but I get the sense the stones at bottom aren't just pebbles, but fairly large.

Lots of interesting stuff to look at here Julian. I think the comp works especially well. Love the subtle colours within the rocks.

Julian,

Now we're talkin'! This is just about what I had in mind when I commented on your last image - even though I had no idea what the rest of the landscape looked like. This is just so much more engaging to me. Still the same qualities of form and color as previous, but this just seems crafted so much more comfortably. Too bad you didn't get the 4x5... but this is still wonderful regardless.

I like this one even better. Fascinating landscape, and the light is really working well on this one.

Lovely image Julian. Beautiful subtle color and texture. I do wish there was more room at the bottom though - feels a little tight to me.
