Cold Roadrunner

The sun made a short appearance Christmas Eve morning, which allowed our resident roadrunner to get out, and for me to find it for the first time in a couple of weeks. The roadrunner didn't move much the whole time I was photographing it. Temps were in the mid 20s F, with a slight breeze that picked up as the clouds moved in. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

I love it when they spread their feathers like this to warm up. Nice headturn and details in those fluffy feathers.

Not a species I associate with mid 20's. I see this same warming behavior here on some mornings when the temps are in the 60's.

One bird I would love to see in the wild. I like the feathers blown by the wind, nice pic!
