Salto Hacha Up Close

Canaima National Park, Venezuela

Same Water Fall from my previous post, but this morning I went up close for a personal perspective of the falls. Last time I visit this water fall I could walk behind it, and get to the other side to photograph. This time the water pressure was too much to actually do it.

Any comment/critique for improvement greatly appreciated!

Nice - I really like the effects of the long shutter speed! :toast:

Love this Edward ..love the way you have made the water fall meet the sky ....fantastic work here ..also if you can get one more chance to go there ..the left of the frame would make a good vertical too ...well done

Excellent composition!
From the slow water movement on the left, through to the more powerful falls, and then to the skies and the slight peek of the lagoon. Not one bit of wasted space, and the light is fine.

You done good with this one, Edward! I was wondering if you could get up close and personal with that large waterfall? Going behind it though, that'd be interesting!

Very well done, Edward! I like the effect of the water and the clear sky in the BG.

Your comp and light here are fantastic. The color in the water helps this to work well .

A powerful image. I really like the glimpse into the river and trees in the distance. It adds nice depth. Your shutter speed also works well to convey the speed and power of the falls.

This is quite spectacular, the massive flow of water is well conveyed. Love the composition too.

Beautiful shot of the falls Edward. I like the composition, but I wish the steam/mist wasn't rising quite so high so we could see more of the BG.
