Grand Forks Barn

Here is another from my Grand Forks series shot last august. It was very bright sunshine behind me and very dark and stormy in front.(that is the Kootenay for you). Its difficult shooting barns that lean, or are sinking on one side, and I was tempted to use a grid to correct it @FabForns, but old buildings have this feature, so I did not.

Canon 5D II,
24-105 @ 105;
f/11 1/800 ISO160, then enhanced a bit in Efex just to bring the texture up a bit as an "art" effect...Comments welcome.

I like this image, Katherine Anne. The front to back lean does not bother me at all. I wish the barn was a little bit less centered in the composition. However, I do think the fence is an important element and would not want to loose any of it from cropping. Thanks for posting.

The lead in of the fence and ominous sky make this work for me Kat. Ya gotta love these old barns!

Very nice Kat, lovely colors, well done!! I'd like to see a comp from a perspective a bit further back, but certainly don't know if that was even possible.

KatherineAnne: I think this is spectacular. The light here is dynamite IMO and the color has real impact. The stormy sky is icing on a very fine cake. >=))> :toast:
