The beautiful blues and yellows make this is a lovely abstract Nancy. The out of focus icicle to the right seems a bit distracting. I think if you toned down the brightness somewhat on it and then sharpened the main icicle a bit more you'd give this a greater sense of depth and make those colors stand out even more.

Robert, is this sorta what you had in mind? I ran a single pass of the clone stamp over the bg ice, then selected and sharpened the main ice. Does it work better?

Yes I like this better Nancy. The main subject really has a sparkle to it now and is quite striking.
I think you could return some of the brightness to the secondary icicle though and end up with a very nice layering effect.

Nancy,

The colors vibrate beautifully together. I enjoy the many "facets" of the ice, they remind me of a glass vase. Well Done!

What an awesome collection of colors and textures. The sharpening in version 2 works very well.

I like the abstract colors and shapes within the icicle. I would like to see a tight crop without background and second icicle.

Since this is an abstract, lets go Sci-fi..
I see a crystalline transporter beam at work, with inner beams of light shining through..
You know, beam me up Scotty
Well done Nancy :toast:
