Immature Reddish Egret

This egret was hunting along the coastline. My friend, Dottie and I hid (not very well) in some reeds as he passed. I liked the stalking posture here.

nice active pose and I like the waves in the water, Angela. detail in the bird is excellent and I like how the colors match the water. only nit for me is that the foot could be a little sharper--at your ss, I wouldn't expect motion blur, so maybe it just got missed in the sharpening mask?

Really like the pose Angela and your DOF was perfect to make the egret stand out given the plane of the bird and how close the water was in the background. I also like your composition and that one errant feather above the tail. I too wonder about the softness of the foot and trailing water drops at that SS.

I like how the gentle swell of the water along with the raised leg seem to push the egret along. As always, great techs.
