I like to say hi to ever one, I just joined, this is my 1st post. I've been coming to the site for awhile, and real enjoy ever ones work. It's been a great inspiration to me. This photo was taken outside my house in the garden, early morning before the poppies opened up.I painted the poppies using coral painter, add a black frame, and did a in and out of the frame tech. All comments and critiques welcome.

Hi, John, welcome! I really like the techniques you used, and I really like the wide black frame for this image. I *think* I'd like the purple one to be the same color as the rest, but I'm not even sure about that. I think this is excellent.

John welcome aboard. A really great first post. I like the in and out of frame technique. I have never tried Coral painter but your image looks really good. The black frame was a great choice for the orange poppies. Looking forward to more of your work. :wavey:

Welcome to NPN John! This a very nice and creative first post. Your brush stroke effects and work outside the frame work really well for me. Looking forward to more.

Welcome to NPN. This image works very well. My one, very minor, suggestion would be to put a little more space between the purple poppy and the others.

Very nice. I really like how the bud and the upper flower intrudes into the frame.
