Spring Reflection

Gallery: Photo ArtPosted March 13, 2011691 views11 comments
French Creek State Park, PA 2004. Overcast morning in May.
Nikon D100 70-300mm @70mm 1/25sec f18 200asa
I warmed and saturated the colors. Cropped the gray sky and added just a little vignetting.
I think it has a watercolor look about it.
All comments are greatly appreciated.

Very nice Vince! Has a very calm feel to it. I also really like the watercolor look.

I agree that it does have a bit of watercolor feel. It conveys very well all of the bright yellow to green colors of spring. The reflection is awesome and I think cropping the sky and the top of the tree works well by focusing attention on the reflection. The goose is a nice bonus.

Beautiful image! I love the colors and the watercolor effect you created. And the goose is the frosting on the cake.

Very tranquil scene; nice comp and the colors work well. I like the fog in the background and the overall feel of this one.

I love the goose in the water because I really think it adds to this peaceful scene. I also think I would like to see a crop from the top down causing the reflection and the water to be the star player. Nice processing.

Great work and feel of this scene. Congrats on the EP. I also agree with Dave that a crop off of the top would make this even better by just having the sky in the reflection. :toast:
