Hello everyone. Well I finally was able to capture some decent pics of this duck. The females have been more than willing but the males have been a different story. Well that was until the other day. He drifted towards me as it slept I got as low as I could to be out his sight and the following pic is one of my favorites. Hope you enjoy. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - 200-400 w/1.4 tc, Exposure - 1/800, Aperture - F8, ISO 400, Metering - Spot, Aperture Priority.

Looks like you were at water level, which makes a very cool image. Great light and colors and detail.

Your low perspective with great eye contact makes this shot for me Robert. Nice exposure too. If this were mine I'd crop the duck more loosely all round.

nice low angle with good detail and exposure, Robert. The light in the eye is really nice. I agree you could go a little looser.

Nice detail and exposure. I too would allow a bit more space around the duck.

NIce details on the duck, Robert. Love the low POV and water droplets. Nice techs. Agree with others in more room around the duck.

The ruddies are very shy, so this is a wonderful catch!
Excellent detail, colors, eye contact, and water!
I'd personally put him in the lower third of the frame and leave more room on top and in front, but it's a personal choice.

Great low angle and nice detail, Robert. The exposure looks really good. It does seem a bit tight in the frame.

Sharp detail and a nice job with the exposure. I too would like perhaps a tad more room around the duck. Nicely captured.

I like the low perspective and this is one of the better Ruddy images I have seen. I have been trying for months to get a decent of these ducks. Good job on the contrast colors of the duck, well done.
