I was going through some fawn photos and liked this intimate shot. What struck me was how small the fawn was in comparison to Mom's head.

Shenandoah National Park

Nikon D300 F5.6 1/400 ISO 800

Comments and critiqes are always welcome by me.

Thanks

IMHO this is a very enjoyable image. In particular I like the expression on the fawns face. Almost as if it noticed the camera and was trying to let mom know about it! The OOF foliage in the FG bothers me a bit, but not much you could do about it without making the image too tight. Thanks for sharing.

Intimate it is and the fawns expression makes it even better. Ron :toast:

The tiny fawn by mom's head really shows how young it is. Compositionally the eye contact with the fawn and graceful curve of the doe's neck are simply beautiful. The OOF daisy adds to the overall image without drawing too much attention. Well composed, great colors, and good use of DOF. You really captured a tender moment in nature. If this were mine I'd consider it a special image. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely shot. The lighting is very nice, with some warmth but allowing lots of detail. It adds nicely to the tenderness of the scene.

I like the dreamy quality of the image. also how the eye of the fawn is the center of focus. Fine image.
