A medium format image of Sugar Loaf Cove, north shore of scenic Lake Superior,Minnesota. I was attracted to this particular juxtaposition of rocks..lake..sky pattern. Imaged with Fuji Provia at f16 & 1/60sec.

I love puffy white clouds and bright light but having the sun almost to your back can sometimes wash the photo in unflattering light. I might have waited until the light was coming from the side in order to create more texture in the foreground. Maybe earlier or later in the day would have worked better.

I really like the colorful rocks in the foreground but the bare middle makes it less interesting for me. I would crop out bare spot if this were mine.

This looks like a great place to revisit.

I hope this helps.

What camera did you use Jeff? The light is a bit harsh but I like the curve of the shore line.

Reply to Eva: Camera used was a square format Hasselblad CM, with 40mm wide angle lens.
