A nice composition with the flowers leading you to the river, it would of been nice to have had the river be more prominent / have less twigs obstructing its view. Also, I would try and clean up the color in the sky. The left half has a very distinct color cast that is completely not on the right half. I find it distracting.

Daniel,

Very nice balsamroot in the fg and the larger image is better. What Scott is seeing as a color cast is actually a faint optical phenomena a sun halo or parahelia in technical terms. They will sometimes cause this color shift, there's a faint icebow arcing through the midsky. So that's another plus in the image in my book. Based on your title I think you already perceived this.

That is a pretty view, Daniel. I especially like the large view.

Gorgeous scene! I noticed the same thing as Scott initially but then came to the conclusion (before reading the comments) that it was simply a sun halo as described by Paul in his comment. Very cool shot.

Tough light but your really pulled it off well. The light looks much softer than expected and the soft colors sort of go well with this mood.

Daniel. I think this is a great photo and composition. I just find the sky distracting. How about the sky in more like 1/4th and the flare or color resolved?

Not real crazy about that sky but man that is a beautiful scene otherwise

Love the fg flowers but i agree that the sun is just a bit too overpowering here.
