A pair of Chacma Baboons engaging in mutual grooming in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.

The pose just seemed perfect here. I wish the background was "cleaner" but still feel there is enough separation and interest upfront.

Techs:
Canon 7D with 100-400mm L IS USM
f7.1 @ 1/500 SS @ ISO-800

At least one of them seems to be enjoying it ! Primates never fail to deliver when it comes to expressive poses and this is no exception. How about a slight crop from the top and right ?

There's enough visual interest and pleasure to be derived from the subjects and their marvelous poses to make the background appear irrelevant. Wonderful capture Morkel :^)

Both Baboons seem to be enjoying themselves. The pose is great and I don't find the background distracting

You captured the moment perfectly. The contrasting expressions wonderful. Charming pair.

A precious moment captured Morkel. What a pity about that thorn bush in the BG indeed; without it this would look even better.

Looks like pure bliss here Morkel, but have to agree on the slightly BG.

The background does not worry me. Great shot.

thanks for the feedback folks...I don't mind the background that much but one cannot argue with the fact that the shot would have been better with a clean background...and that should make us want to go out again in search of the elusive "perfect shot"
